Metadata generic

  • Age: adult
  • Authors: M Lazarewicz.
  • Comments: Modeling based on traub et al. (1994) and traub et al. (2003c), conductances from traub et al. 2003 and cunningham et al. 2004. This mod file: alpha synapse traub-like implemented with kinetic scheme as per ch 10 neuron book. Used to return peak conductance of 1, however now it is set so that a peak conductance of tau2*exp(-1) is reached because that's what the traub alpha function (t-t_0)*exp(-(t-t_0)/tau) reaches. Modeling study, with many neurons in the cortex and thalamus. All neurons contain ka, at varying densities, and ka was taken from a previous model. The animal model info here is from electrophysiology experiments also in this paper, both in vivo and in vitro.
  • Temperature: Channel model has no temperature dependence. Experiments done at 34-37 deg C, simulations likely done at physiological temperatures.
