Metadata generic

  • Age: generic
  • Authors: Z Mainen
  • Comments: Calcium-dependent potassium channel, based on pennefather (1990) for sympathetic ganglion cells, taken from reuveni et al (1993) for neocortical cells. Paper also cites sloper et al. (1978). Added to soma and dendrites for spike afterhyperpolarization and control of repetitive firing. Designed only to be used at 37 deg c. No modeldb ancestors. Modeling study that takes kv and na kinetics from mainen et al. (1995), and introduces four neuron morphologies from cortex. No animal models are mentioned here and nothing related to where the morphologies came from, so it is considered generic. Kca kinetics originally came from data from primate motor and sensory cortices (sloper and powell 1978).
  • Runtime: 75.217
  • Temperature: Model appears to have temperature dependence, with q10 set to 2.3 and original kinetics at 23 deg C. HOWEVER see note in mod files - models are meant to be used only at 37 deg C.
