Hodgkin-huxley style kinetics, based in i-m (muscarinic k channel). Slow, non-inactivating. Designed only to be used at 37 deg c. Based on gutfreund et al. (1995). No modeldb ancestors. Modeling study that takes kv and na kinetics from mainen et al. (1995), and introduces four neuron morphologies from cortex. No animal models are mentioned here and nothing related to where the morphologies came from, so it is considered generic. Km calcium kinetics were originally from guinea pig cortical neurons (gutfreund et al. 1995).
Model appears to have temperature dependence, with q10 set to 2.3 and original kinetics at 23 deg C. HOWEVER see note in mod files - models are meant to be used only at 37 deg C.
