Originally, the kinetics were fit to data in tkatch et al. (2000) (info from gunay paper). The fast and slow ka channels here have the same activation kinetics, but different inactivation kinetics. Modeling study based on a previous paper, with experiments and multicompartmental modeling (gunay et al. 2008). Animal model comes from this previous paper.
