Metadata generic

  • Age: adult
  • Authors: M Lazarewicz.
  • Comments: Modeling based on traub et al. (1994) and traub et al. (2003c), conductances from traub et al. 2003 and cunningham et al. 2004. Potassium type a current for rd traub, 2003, model no. 20756. Implemented by m lazarewicz, 2003. Based on data in huguenard and mccormick (1992) and mccormick and huguenard (1992), with only the faster component of inactivation was used and the activation variable m was first order. Modifications from ancestor channel: addition of variables alphah and alpham for debugging, and <= (line 64). No apparent change in kinetics. Modeling study, with many neurons in the cortex and thalamus. All neurons contain this channel except tufted ib neurons which have their own ka model. The animal model info here is from electrophysiology experiments also in this paper, both in vivo and in vitro.
  • Runtime: 7.53
  • Temperature: Channel model has no temperature dependence. Experiments done at 34-37 deg C, simulations likely done at physiological temperatures.
